First up is our "Bella" which, Cameron rescued from the middle of the street when she was 4 weeks old. She was sick and dehydrated. We were only going to get her better and then find her a home.
Yeah, right.....
She has morphed into this...
She just rules our whole house and we are all just crazy about her. Even Steve, who was SO AGAINST getting another cat! I can't imagine what the big deal was.....we only have FOUR!
I think she is his favorite....
This armoire is in my kitchen and originally it was white, then I painted it black.
I really liked it but I kept thinking it "needed" something else....
So...I covered the top and the drawers with the same fabric that is on the chair cushions...
I think I like it...(don't you just love it when you do something and then "think" you like it?)
I do that...ALOT!
The top of this armoire is Sissie's "spot". She is not so wild about Bella...she doesn't see what all the fuss is about. Sissie is 13 years old....
Bella can't bother her up here....for now....
I have to leave an empty spot up here for Sissie...otherwise, things would be in the floor.
So I assessorize the other side....
I am pondering making some changes in my kitchen...I will do a post later in the week asking for your wonderful opinions on what I should do.
Plesase check out all the other participants in Met Monday AND Make it For Monday!
Have a GREAT week and thank you for visiting....
Your cats are very cute. I'm allergic so I limit myself to pictures. I had that same bunny you have on top of your armoire! I think this is the first time I've seen another like it. I wish I could make some changes, but our house has to go back on the market soon and I've been keeping things non-permanent.
ReplyDeleteLove it Lou Cinda.. Bella is darling too.. We also have a new addition we named Bella also :) Have a great week!

Precious cats! When we still had our cat he always liked to sleep on furniture too. On my dining room table I have a throw...when I first put it there my husband said, "That looks like the perfect cat bed." :)
ReplyDeleteLove the finishing touch to the armoire. I think its the perfect addition... speaking of which. LOVE the addition to the family. I can't imagine having 4!! I have one cat and she's a handful. But she's a doll, so it's ok.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful fabric by the way. :)
Your new little kitty is doing so well-she turned out to be a beauty. I had to say"ah" when I saw the photo of the one on the armoire. Our cat does not have much patience either for her younger kitty cousins. Don't we love our cats!
ReplyDeleteI love that cabinet... the fabric looks fabulous and pulls the room together...
ReplyDeleteOh the love we have for our pets...
God must have put that there...little rascals.
Lee
Look how sweet! I love cats but I haven't had one in years. I do have a new puppy that we bought back in September. She was born in August. Her name is 'Rosey'.
ReplyDeleteI love how you added the fabric to your cabinet and the seat covers. It looks beautiful. I love the colors that you have chosen in your kitchen.
Hugs,
Lee Laurie
That photo on top of the armoire is just too cute. What a beautiful cat! I miss having a kitty around the house but it would take lots of convincing to get another one. Enjoy your 4!
ReplyDeleteHi! Oh, Bella has gone from the cutest little thing to the most beautiful blue-eyed big girl!! And of course, Sissie is much to regal to bother with the little upstart. Obviously Sissie has well-trained you keep the top clear for her lounging!
ReplyDeleteAnd I really like the fabric with the black armoire in the kitchen - great job.
Have a Beautifully Blessed 2010...

Oh how I love those little babies of fur!
ReplyDeleteYour home is lovely :)
Have a wonderful week.

Hi Lou Cinda,
ReplyDeleteThe pics of the cats are priceless. I love how Sissie has her spot on top of the armoire. And speaking of the armoire, I think it was very clever of you to add the fabric to the drawers. It added a nice pop of color and tied the armoire in with the eating area of the kitchen. Great job.
Jane
Love the armoire with fabric panel--very charming!
ReplyDeleteof course the kitties are fabulous too!
Stop on by.....
love, kelee
Adorable cats and love the colors in your home.
ReplyDeleteI like the fabric addition on the bottom of the cab. I like how it ties in to your chairs. Great fluffy baby pics. I have fluffy babies, too. We also had four, but sadly our Miss prissy had to be put to sleep b/c of her diabetes. :( I liked seeing glimpses of your kitchen. Thanks for sharing...Blessings, Barb
ReplyDeleteLou Cinda!
ReplyDeleteMadison and I are having so much fun looking at your sweet kittys....adorable!
Awww so cute. We have 2 cats. One is from the animal shelter and the other one my hubby brought home (he was on midnights and had no sleep. I had just told him the week before that I love our dog and cat but wanted NO MORE) Matilda Louise is now part of the family too! If they weren't so darn cute! Have a great week. The Twins
ReplyDeleteBoth Bella and Sissie are just adorable. You know, Bella looks like a Ragdoll breed to me. Those blue eyes are what makes me wonder.
ReplyDeleteI love what you've done with the fabric. It pops now.
The fabric adds lots of POP...looks great! Hope you have a FUN and WARM week!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Linda
I think it looks great! And I love that your cat lays up there! TOO CUTE!!
ReplyDeleteThank you Lou for coming by for a visit...oh girl I'm so glad you did...I love your blog and just added you to my list....I'll be back for sure...May you have a great day my friend...hugs and smiles Gl♥ria
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you got your camera! I've been reading your blog and I must say I've really enjoyed it. I've signed up to be a follower to see how your progress goes on your kitchen remodel. Thanks for visiting and leaving such a nice comment.
ReplyDeleteReally like the pop of color on your black armoire. Sometimes when we do things and think we like them is because we have to get used to the change. I always give myself a couple of weeks before I just think I like it. Your kitties are so cute and I know they are lots of company.
ReplyDeleteWell, the cats stole the show for me. Cute! But I really like the armoire as well. Black is classy and your fabric touch gave it some pop.
ReplyDeletethe only thing standing between me and having 25 cats is divorce papers! oh well! we started with five 15 years ago and are down to one! she's 16 and a half and she wants me to tell you the "half" cuz she's a teenager and that matters! i spend half my day tripping over myself to dote on her...it's pathetic, but i wouldn't have it any other way! the armoire looks great! love the fabric idea!
ReplyDeleteLove the rabbit piece! It's almost as cute as those precious cats! :) Your kitchen is gorgeous! ~Rhonda
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog and leaving me some comment love! Your armoire looks great!
ReplyDeleteLou Cinda, that was a clever thing to do on the armoire - love the burst of color. Also like the tabletop arrangements. Linda
ReplyDeleteI can't believe Sissy sleeps on the top of the armoire!!! Too cute! Bellas' a sweetheart!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea to cover the drawers and the top of it with the fabric!
Rhonda
Lou Cinda, Bella has morphed into a beautiful cat, and your cupboard has morphed into a beautiful piece of furniture. laurie
ReplyDeleteActually, I think Sissie makes the perfect accessory for your armoire. You did a great job with it, btw.
ReplyDeleteThat's so sweet that you accessorize around your kitty! I love the fabric on the bottom - it gives it a wow factor!
ReplyDeleteManuela
Love it! Looks beautiful!
ReplyDeleteFour kitties? I once had 8, although it was in my single days, ha!
ReplyDeleteI love the fabric on the armoire - just finishes it so nicely! Especially THAT fabric. Gorgeous.
Your kitty is beautiful. Like stunningly beautiful. :-) Nice redo!
ReplyDeleteWell I know for sure that I like it! Its so personalized and unique :)
