Browsing…

I went to the Trussville Antique Mall Saturday.  I had never been there before and had passed it on numerous occasions and I finally decided to stop!

LOVED IT!  It is a place I will go back to again and again..

I loved this table…look at those legs!!

LOVE!!!  It was $450 FIRM….I started to say…will you take $449? HA!  The chairs were included in the price and I liked them, but the seats needed to be recaned or repaired….I just LOVE it!  Wonder if they do lay away???

I also loved this hutch/sideboard…it was in the same booth as the table I want…

I also loved this settee, but I so adore checks!  Buffalo, gingham, any kind of check! I did buy a few small things and I will get a photo of them and show you…I found two of the cutest bamboo lamps for $14.98 each!  SHUT UP!  I got one, and then when I was checking out the cashier said “I just love this lamp, she just put them in her booth yesterday.”  I said ring up the other one and I will pick it up on the way out the door!  I am so glad I got them both!  They went in Cameron’s room too.

I am excited to show you the chair I am working on right now in my upholstery class. It isn’t quite finished yet, but I am so LOVING it!!  I think it is my favorite so far…it is for Cameron’s room, so it is a little more masculine, (of course), than my rooster chairs….he might frown on a rooster chair or a girly fabric in his room….I hope to finish it next week….

Thank you for stopping by!

  1. I'm happy you finally made it to the antique mall. I love browsing all the booths at those. The table is gorgeous (if it were less expensive you could always sew something up for the seats!) and the hutch is fabulous!! I'm not crazy about black but I like this.

Love the latest project! You are really doing well with your class. How long does it go for?

Hope you guys are out of the way of the bad weather. It was really bad here yesterday...but today is fine!

  3. Oh!! The settee, I love it!! And yes yes to that table and chairs... And the sideboard, ahhh! I am right there with ya, gotta go back. Roosters are manly! I am not gonna go there, but you get my drift. Anyhoo, can't wait to see those lamps and your new project!

  5. That table is gorgeous, Lou Cinda! Of course, you were going to ask if they would take $449.00. Where it says "trouble" written all over you, what font would that be in? : ) It sounds like you got some great stuff and I'm looking forward to seeing the chair. Happy Birthday to your goddaughter! I would only be 16 again if I could know what I know now. Ah, who am I kidding - I'd be 16 again anyway!

  6. Oh girl, I have got to find this place! The only place I know in Trussville is around the shopping area right off the Interstate. Where is it in relation to that?

    GORGEOUS STUFF!

  7. Peering into my crystal ball...I'm picturing that table and chairs in your dining room. I'm also seeing the chairs with a solid bottom, padded and covered in Vichy. It's hazy, but yes...make an offer. Just be sure and mention you'd like to do a layaway...otherwise I see you being escorted out the door.

  8. Yes, I do love that table! Love the chunky legs. Go ahead and make a ridiculous offer. All they can do is say no. Great thing about antique malls is you don't have to deal directly with the booth owner. They'll call(as long as the worker is not the owner.) He/she may get mad, but will never know it was you! haha

  9. Okay now...these bamboo lamps sound really neat...can't wait to see them! I so agree on those table legs...very "COOL"!!! How about our AUBURN TIGERS...I have been going to the games and I can say, it's been worth every penny that I have spent for travel...tickets and tailgating! I sure hope we can keep it going and WAR EAGLE!!!

    Blessings,
    Linda

The white swan you have on the table is wonderful, can't wait to see how you decorate for Christmas this year!
