This was my door before....I liked it. Mostly I love my Welcome! But I wasn't entirely happy with the door...I wanted more...
I wanted a more "Welcome-ing Door...so here it is...

I LOVE the new door!!! I have a "thing" for 3/4 glass/panel doors, so, if you ever decide to get rid of this beauty, let me know! ;o)

Lou Cinda, I love the front door in all of its incarnations... from the old black door to the new red one, it looks great. Good job on having a neat front porch! Come to my house next, and help me figure out what I want to do to my study. I'm pulling my hair out trying to pick the right shade of a brown to use. I'm getting ready to paint it a dark Benjamin Moore color, and from there, I'm not going to worry. LOL! Unless, of course, someone says it needs to go lighter. ;-)
ReplyDeleteXO,
Sheila :-)
Love your door and Love the red color too!
ReplyDeleteOh, I'm loving your new door and the porch looks so appealing. Looks like your husband did a good job installing it. I'm sure you are getting more light into the house now and that's always a good thing!
ReplyDeleteBless your heart for dropping by Beauty and Blessings and leaving your kind comment. I appreciate you following so much too. Keep us informed about little Bella!

I love your new door. I'll bet it lets so much light in. I really like that color red too. It's a nice color!
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful Lou Cinda! Your hubby is such a handy man...you are SO lucky. Now you have light coming through all of the time...isn't that nice?
ReplyDeleteI say leave it red! It will be gorgeous through the holidays, that's for sure!!!! Then LATER, when you get tired of the red, you can paint it black. How's that?
Great transformation!!!
everything vintage
I would pick that door also. I love it! It looks more charming and I imagine the light that it lets in is awesome!! Not to mention the view you can now see through it. Well worth your hard work!!
ReplyDeleteLouCinda, your door is perfect. I love all the glass and Red Fleck. My door is all glass and I just love it. It let's the light in and is just so pretty to look at. I think you will enjoy it!
ReplyDeleteI like this door so much more than the plain black one. This one has so much character and looks beautiful! I have been on the look out for another front door but haven't had any luck. I wish that I could find one like that! I've tried the painting thing. First it was white, then pink, and now it is green. I will probably paint it again until I find another door! LOL
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Lee Laurie
Hi Lou Cinda, oh, how I love your new door. I really love the red color and your white sidelights really make it pop! Your wreath is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteOn your earlier post, I thought you were going to tell us a knock knock joke! :)
Be a sweetie,
Shelia :)
Great new door!!!! I love all the light that flows through - plus the red - wowzie! Linda
ReplyDeleteI bet the new door sure does let alot more light in, I love finding new ways to let the light in and I just love that wonderful door, what a great find..I am a new follower, I will return for more and more..come visit
ReplyDeleteI never paint anything as I can never decide what color to paint. White or black? I love the new front door. But is it safe? I'd be afraid of someone breaking a window to get in. Or even someone peeking in.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! :o)
ReplyDeleteLove the RED door*! Looks so Fallish*! (hugs)
ReplyDelete_Ashley*
your door before looked really good, but the new one is even better. I really like your front porch, I just have a teeny tiny little front porch, not much space to decorate :)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your door! It is very pretty and so welcoming! Your wreath is beautiful as well!
ReplyDeleteI bet it lets a lot more light in! So you didn't try painting the sidelights red too....just kidding!
ReplyDeleteOh...how can you go wrong with a red door...gorgeous!!!
ReplyDeleteI am having a Williams Sonoma giveway over at Mille Fleur...I would love for you to pop over and enter!!!
Enjoy!!!
XOXO
Cathy
Wish my front porch was so pretty as this!
ReplyDeleteLove the new door. You must live in a warm climate! It would never due up here in the snow and cold. Must be nice to be looking forward to one of our falls lasting all winter : )) Hmmmm, maybe I should move south!
ReplyDeleteI had a red door in my last house and loved it.
Love the door. Love red. Black was good too. But Love red.
ReplyDeletePerfect! The extra windows in the door must bring in some awesome light. Love it and I bet you do too~
ReplyDeleteLOVING the new door. Now I want one! I love how it lets in so much natural light. As far as color I don't think you could go wrong with either color :o) Have a great week. The Twins
ReplyDeleteOh wow! What a beautiful door! Sigh. I'm so jealous! ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks for commenting on my fall decor at my other blog (Evangelines). In answer to your question. Krylon is the manufacturer of the oil rubbed bronze spray paint. :)

You funny girl...I do the same thing: paint, then re-paint, then paint again the first color. I do this with furniture too...constantly tweaking, moving things one place, then back. I think we need an intervention. Anyway, I LOVE your door, the red with the sidelights, and I totally want one too. I need LIGHT in my house, especially in the winter, and this looks like a great way to do that....need another trip to the ReStore!
ReplyDeletepeace~
I love the red door girl!!! I know you are lovin' the extra light that you're getting inside now.
ReplyDeleteAnd yeah, what did happen to our belove Tigers???? Reality check!
It will be better Saturday.
"I BELIEVE"!!!!!

Hi Lou Cinda: I love the red door...love the windows in it too!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for commenting on my snowmen. The snowmen were the one thing that did well at the show..I came home with a couple that didn't sell but to be honest they weren't my favorite either.
I do have additional materials to make more. I could get some more made and then contact you when they are finished to see what you think.....no obligation! I have both glass bottles and silver plated salt and pepper shakers that can be made into the snowmen...did you have a preference? I sold the silver plated ones for $8.00 apiece...the ones made of bottles sold from $6.00 to $10.00 depending on the size.
I'll get busy on more and give you a shout out when I have enough to show you.
Thanks.
Jane
Love that door! The red is just perfect! I also love the added wood on each side of the porch area that you can sit things on. Your home has great curb appeal!
