A Quickie…

Seth came home one day and told me that some friends of his were having a yard sale and he noticed they had a window that they were going to put in it and he asked if I wanted it….(yes, he knows me well)….of course I told him YES!  HE brought it home and I just hung it on the wall…

Every night I would look at it and “study it”….do ya’ll do that?  I do…all the time….so anyway I decided it needed paint….black paint….so I took it down and threw some paint on it…took me about 30 minutes or so….hung it back up and accessorized the area and this is what I got…

Oh yeah….moved the lamp over….raised the window up…it was too low…why didn’t I do that FOREVER ago???

I think it looks SO much better black….

cozied up the corner a bit…it is COLD here today…

  1. Yeah, baby, yeah! I do like it MUCH.

I think that every room needs a touch of black, and that window anchors that corner. Love it. I am with you in the check department, and you can add stripes and plaid to my therapy. ;-)

    Sheila

  4. Hi Lou Cinda,
It looks great black! It grounds it now because everything else there is lighter. So cozy and pretty.I LOVE gingham too!! Especially if it's in my favorite color, red! If you need therapy, then so do I! :)
    Have a great weekend,

  6. I think I love it! Wow, that paint really jazzed it up and I love the wreath, perfect for fall. I have a window like that too, but mine has a mirror backing. I'm going to try the wreath idea if I can find one. Dollar store, here I come!

  8. Yup, perfection, Lou Cinda! Looking at it now, it's like it should have been black all along. I love your wreath on it ~ that's just enough, too. Your saying that about Seth makes me think of my son; he would do the same. Cold here, too, today ~ a high of 48!

  11. Lou Cinda,
Marvelous darling!!! The window looks so stunning painted black! Adore your gingham chair. All you need is a book (or favorite magazine) and a cup of tea! Enjoy your cozy little corner, dear!
