The Chair is Home…

Steve and I drove to Trussville and picked up my chair a couple of weeks ago and I really really love it as much as I thought I would….it is a very well made chair….love the pattern and colors and it is SO comfortable!

Now, ya’ll remember when I covered this ottoman before….and I don’t think it looks bad with the chair….but…

Then I found this fabric  on the internet….Warehousefabric.com…

03.12.12 027

LOVED it!

So… I think this looks better…

03.12.12 028

These pictures were taken in the morning, so there isn’t the greatest light….but the colors in this fabric match the colors in my chair to a “t”…I am  also going to make pillows for the sofa out of this fabric….

Bad light, but you can get the gist of the room….(Sadie is watching the birds)…

The secretary in the back is going to get a coat of cream paint….I have been putting it off, but I am fixing to get cracking on that….it will show up SO much better I think….

03.12.12 029

I made a runner for the coffee table…then cut out the lace from a tieback that I had as an overlay….

03.12.12 022

And Sissie is “chillin”…I am going to change the vignette on the coffee table too…I have somewhere else I want to use that silver tray…

03.12.12 023

Just a few small changes going on around the casa…let me know what you think!  Thank you so much for stopping by!

I will be linking up to Feathered Nest Friday at French Country Cottage and Potpourri Friday at 2805….

  1. Very pretty, Lou Cinda! This looks like such a pretty room. Have you shared the whole room with us yet? Love the footstool in both fabrics. I want to see that secretary up close and I'm sure it will look wonderful once you are done painting it. It looks like a great piece now.

  5. I like that new floral fabric, Lou Cinda. I'll have to pop over and see that site. You're ambitious to start painting. It took me forever to get my desk painted and waxed. I'll have to post it soon. Now I have more but no gumption to get started. I tend to procrastinate... LOL

  10. I love your chair and ottoman - the room is beautiful. I REALLY (all caps, yes) love the angel your son bought for your... oh my gosh, she is just beautiful! I have a very old, large chippy cement Mary statue that we have in our backyard and believe me, I've been tempted more than once to use her as part of the indoor decor. Thanks for visiting me!... 13. It's adorable! I can see why you love it!

Thanks so much for checking in with me. I have been without a computer and am finally home and on Mr. Magpie's. I will probably be computerless for a bit longer. Long story I won't get into here.

Lots and lots of insanity has been going on. Adelaide's husband had a triple bypass (very unexpected), and there is a lot of other stuff too mind numbing to mention. I'm still on the roller coaster, but I'm still here. We're talking Steel Magnolia. ;-)

Sending you love. I hope I can blog again soon. Thank you for checking in with me. I am up late on his laptop which goes back to work with him in the morning. I'm waiting to leave town AGAIN as another friend has a husband who is in the final stages (days) of pancreatic cancer. Thankfully he told his wife he knew the Lord.

    Love you...

    XO,

    Sheila
