FIXED!!!

No, not as in fixed like Bella, but fixed nonetheless!!

When I got to work this morning I had an e-mail from WONDERFUL SWEET GENIUS Paula at Castle and Cottage!  She had me e-mail my header to her, she inserted the text for me and sent it back and then told me how to get it where it is supposed to go!

Is that not AWESOME sweet???  Yes, it is!!
She even gave me four choices so I could pick the one I liked the best!

So, once again, thanks to Paula, I have a name!!

Thank you Paula!!!  You ROCK!!!

I AM TRULY COMPUTER ILLITERATE…

I thought it would be really “special” to change my  background on my blog, seeing as to how I still had Winter Wonderland on there from Christmas.

I did finally manage to get the background in there and even changed my header!!  Woo Hoo!

HOWEVER…

Right now, my blog is nameless!  Cute header and the words Tattered Hydrangeas are kind of lost in the scrollies…..

I have researched all night long to try and figure out how to insert text in my flippin header!!  I have visions of pretty script CENTERED in my header with the name Tattered Hydrangeas in there.

Still don’t know how….

Suggestions?  I need a tutorial from you brilliant women who know how to do this stuff…

I am NOT one of those women….sadly….

I would so appreciate your help!

Thank you :)

“The Heat” Part II

What all has been going on around here would boggle the mind!  My life lately has not been for the faint of heart!

Bella was spayed last Thursday…she did great… picked her up Friday morning and brought her home.

By Saturday morning she had pulled out ALL of her stitches!  Oh yes, she certainly did!

I am peaking at her incision and praying that  I do NOT see anything resembling “innards” or intestines, if you will…didn’t see anything gory. Back to the vet we go and he glues her up this time!  Good Grief!

THEN I get a kidney infection, so to the doctor I go. Get an antibiotic…life is good…on the mend….

THEN Cameron gets up Saturday morning sick, sick, sick.  He has a baseball tournament Saturday…so…we medicate him and head to the ball field.  Between games I am feeling his forehead for fever…he holds up pretty good….

Until we get home….he goes down like a tree…Yep, it’s the flu!  The dreaded flu!  Now Cameron and I got the H1N1 vaccination, but they were out of the seasonal flu shot….great…..he is still in the bed, being medicated every four hours.  So far…I have rebuked it….keep your fingers crossed.

Now most of you know Barbara Jean of Treasures from the Heart fame.  She is so talented and she makes these nests and I just adore them!  SO, I ordered two nests from her and she whipped them up and got them to me in no time.  I LOVE THEM!!

See the little button and the cheesecloth and doily? So exquisite!

I put the nest on my framed silverware and adore it!  She also makes these tiny intricate little rosebuds from teabags….she included some of those for me as well…

The silver tray my best friend Janice gave me for my birthday!  I love it so much!  I added a nest and the tiny rosebuds on the tray for now….

This is my beautiful friend Janice and my Seth!  She is as beautiful on the inside as she is the outside!  And that is beautiful!!!

Well, I think I have caught you up to date…Just checked on Cameron…no fever right now….maybe the worse part is over….

Bella?  How is Bella?

The “Heat”

I know that I have been missing in action for a couple of weeks, but I have been CRAZY swamped at work, and if you read my blog, you know that I practically practice law without a license!  Anyhoo, it has been a couple of weeks of deadlines and statutes running and all that sort of legal “stuff”.

And you also know that I LOVE my cats!  I have four…yes, I know, that is alot.  But I adore them!

When I got the first cat, Chloe, Seth was 5 and Cameron was 3.  We had had her for several months and one Sunday morning Seth and Cameron came running into my bedroom as I was getting ready for church and they were just wide eyed!  Mother, there is something wrong with Chloe!

I run down the hall and there she is…lying on the floor, rolling around and meowing really weird.  I start thinking, she has been poisoned, she is dying!  The I stop and study her….Oh no, I say.  I think she is in heat.

Seth looks at me and says, what is heat?  Well, it is something that happens to girl cats, but she will be fine.  We will have to get her an operation.

After Sunday School, I am heading to choir and Seth’s Sunday School teacher comes up to me.  We had prayer request this morning in Sunday School, she tells me.  Okaaaaay, I say.  Seth had a very important prayer request.  He did?  Yes.  He asked for prayer for his cat who has “the heat”.  We both just died laughing!  I will never forget that as long as I live.

Chloe did recover and is a ripe 13 years old.

I came home from work on Tuesday and I notice Bella is acting weird.

Bella 003

She was rolling around in the floor and kept sticking her rear in the air and she was crying…..Oh No……

Not my sweet Bella!

I picked her up and she just put her head on my shoulder and I explained to her the facts of life and that sometimes it really bites being a girl….

So I called the vet and made an appointment to have her spayed. This morning I dropped her off…I cried as I left her…she looked so scared.  I told her she would feel so much better…well…not initially, I mean, she will have an incision and stitches….but soon, she will feel better…

I almost chickened out and didn’t have her spayed.  She stays in the house and all of my other cats have been either spayed or neutered.  So, I looked it up on the internet to see how often cats go into heat.  If they don’t get pregnant, they go into heat EVERY TWO OR THREE WEEKS!!  I didn’t know that!  It also said that they were very uncomfortable when they are in heat.

Ya’ think???

So…I took her this morning, I have called to check on her.  She came through the surgery fine.  I can pick her up tomorrow morning…

I think I will take off half a day tomorrow….just so I can take car of her…

It ain’t easy being a girl…
